About the Music J. K. Hodge, composer, pianist, is a contemporary classical composer and performance pianist from Long Island, NY. Born John Kenneth Hodge, his Chopin-inspired contemporary classical compositions have earned him much acclaim as a New York- based concert pianist. His first two album releases (Anatomy of a Piano Player, recorded and released in 2010, and Winter’s Gift, recorded and released in 2012) were well received by the classical community, and is currently composing his third as of 2014, to be titled All Your Heart’s Desires. J.K. Hodge is also notable for his ongoing mission entitled “Keeping Classical Music Alive”, working tirelessly with schools and non-profit organizations, to continue bringing inspiring classical music and classically inspired works to both young students and general audiences that might not otherwise have exposure to quality classical music. His performances and compositions have been embraced in the classical community, with both of his albums featured on Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, and one of his recordings reaching their Top Ten in 2013. His performances have been featured at the Millennium Music Conference, (Harrisburg PA), Long Island Winterfest, and has made annual appearances at the Montauk Music Festival, NY.
