Jeremy Zuckerman

Jeremy Zuckerman

简介:Jeremy is a composer and electric guitarist whose work has been heard across the country, from the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles to the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Born and raised in rural upstate New York, Jeremy was a guitar shredder by age 13. His early interest in metal, fueled by the genre’s dense and fresh sounding timbre, provided his first glimpse into the concept of sonic art. On his way up the rungs of the music business, his first job was shrink-wrapping CDs, before landing a machine room gig at a midtown Manhattan post-production studio.   He graduated magna cum laude with his bachelor’s degree in Music Production & Technology and Synthesis from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he received a well-rounded education studying electronic music with Richard Boulanger, as well as traditional music and jazz. His desire to delve further into composition and sound design within the context of new technologies led him to the other coast, to the California Institute of the Arts, where he studied with Morton Subotnick and Mark Trayle, and earned his master’s degree in Composition New Media. He occasionally returns to CalArts as a guest lecturer.   Jeremy is co-founder of The Track Team, a film and television music and sound design production facility.  In addition to his work with the The Track Team, Jeremy has collaborated with choreographers, theater directors, and rock artist David Lee Roth. As a performer, he has played guitar, synthesizers, Hammond organ and Rhodes piano. He has also studied and played the Chinese guzheng and pipa, and the Armenian duduk. In 2009, Jeremy was chosen to be an artist-in-residence at the prestigious Djerassi Arts Program in Northern California and subsequently won an honorary artist fellowship award for the work he conducted during his stay. He plays guitar in the L.A.-based funk band Cousin Junebug and can be seen around town getting jiggy with it.   (官网资料)
