On a wicker chest in Justin's livingroom, there is a photograph of him on his fourth birthday. He is wearing Osk Kosh overalls, a peach-colored party hat, and he is holding a plastic toy guitar with the Dukes of Hazard painted on the soundboard. The guitar is nearly as tall as he is. Next to the old photograph, sits a copy of Justin's latest record, Worth The Wait, which was released on September 28th, 2007. Twenty-two years have passed between Justin's fourth birthday party and the release of Worth The Wait, but his modus operandi has remained constant. Worth The Wait is Justin's first fully-produced studio record, and the first record he's put out since 2004, when he released a limited edition live EP (Live @ Cavanaugh's). Live @ Cavanaugh's sold out quickly, and fans have literally been begging for another album for the last three years. Well, it's now 2007, and fans have, at long last, gotten their wish, and it is, as the title suggests, worth the wait. The new record features some of the world's finest indie musicians and, of course, Justin's unique and deeply moving style of story-telling mastery. When asked what he thinks his musical future holds for him and his fans, Justin replied, "lots more songs, lots more shows, lots more records, and who knows? Maybe another Dukes of Hazard guitar. Stranger things have happened."
