Brandon Mays was born and raised in Cuero, Texas. As a father of three and husband, he will stop at nothing to achieve his goal of winning a Grammy or at minimum sharing his story with the world. Since 1999, football and music have been part of the MAYS regimen. After leaving college on a football scholarship to support his family, he turned to music and hard work to support his lifestyle.   As a true Texan, musically he was influenced by Lil Flip and the Screwed Up Click. MAYS admired how Lil Flip started from the bottom of the music industry (winning freestyle battles and selling CD’s to spread his name) and went on to become a multi-platinum selling artist. Like Lil Flip, he has worked hard to get his music into the streets. MAYS has handed out CD’s for free and worked with grammy award winning producer J. Lacy in Houston who has worked with Chamillionaire, Kirko Bangz, Paul Wall, Fetty Wap and more. J. Lacy was the Master Engineer for Fetty Wap's Trap Queen.   To further get his name out to the masses, MAYS has been performing at shows. Seeking a record deal, he hopes his passion for putting out quality music will get to the right person. When it comes to his style, MAYS raps about real life situations he personally goes through. Fans can relate to his truths and often enjoy his style. Not only does he rap, but you can also hear MAYS singing on track and singing on his tracks. This versatility artist uses strategy and versatility to set himself apart from the competition. Every cent spent on his music career is not wasted. He pours his heart into every second of every track.   “I feel like if I had the money or someone to back me, I would have had a deal a long time ago.” As a man chasing his dreams, MAYS is the epitome of an unsigned artist; he lives paycheck to paycheck to make his dreams come true. Since his brother-n-law IKE was murdered, he has become more serious about his music. The loss has inspired him even more to follow his dreams because IKE loved his music and pushed him to do his best. With a deep dedication for music and a hard work ethic, MAYS is determined to turn himself into a household name. He’s starting from the bottom, without much money or contacts, but plans to make his way to the top. MAYS  feels like people should pay more attention to rappers who are on the come up and are putting out quality music. “Every penny I invest in myself is valuable tome. Money is limited on my end so that’s why I go hard in every studio session and rock every stage. “I have to make everything count.” MAYS is humble, hungry, and dedicated to his music. Wanting someone to take a chance on new talent, he is always ready to transition his way onto a mainstream stage. This year, MAYS will be Grinding harder more than ever doing more shows and networking. Since he has a family to take care of, his strategy is to pursue all of the opportunities that come his way.
