Chriss is an American songwriter/author/singer currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. Born on May 20, 1988 in Houston, Texas, she has always had a passion for the arts/entertainment world. Her mother, Zoe Jackson-Jarra, involved Chriss and her sister, Ciera Rogers, in almost every music event, fashion show and studio session that she was in. Chriss learned the value of her talents at age 14 when she stumbled upon a CD full of instrumentals that were meant for her mother. The very next week, she had already taught herself how to use her mother’s BR-8011and had at least three songs ready for the world to hear. She has had the pleasure of singing as a background vocalist behind American Idol contestant Lakisha Jones and has also embarked on her own journey of becoming a solo artist. At age 22, she moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career as a songwriter. While there, she wrote and published a novel called, “Settling In” and has written/performed with/for artists such as Teyana Taylor, Chanel Westcoast, Cody Wise, Will.i.am, French Montana, Ty Dolla Sign, Waka Flacka, Raheem DeVaughn, Timbaland and DumbDrumbs. Her first mixtape, "Diary Of Xtina", was released on May 20, 2014. Rogers’ future goals would include traveling the world, publishing more novels, opening an arts school for underprivileged children and becoming an English teacher in the school that she opens.
