From  fairs,  festivals,  backyard  parties,  from  Newport  Beach  to  Venice  Beach,  from  

Silverado  Canyon  all  the  way  to  the  Westside's  famous  Cinema  Bar,  SAWTOOTH   whips  up  a  mean  slice  of  Americana.  They  are  borne  from  a  collision  of  the  Long   Beach  roots  music  scene  and  the  Long  Beach  Bluegrass  Meetup.com  group.     After  participating  in  both,  bassist  RAY  ECHLIN  hand-­picked  this  motley  all-­star  cast   to  form  an  unbroken  circle  of  musicians  that  play  sounds  from  the  heart  of  Texas  to   deepest  Appalachia  and  everywhere  in  between.  

  In  addition  to  ECHLIN  on  the  upright  bass,  members  include  singer/songwriters   SEAN  BLAKE  and  LU  URQUIDI  on  guitars  ,  crosstown  cowboy  STEVEN  DUSTY  HART   on  the  mandolin  and  fiddle,  the  incomparable  TED  SMITH  on  the  banjo  and  dobro,   long-­time  brother  HOBEY  ECHLIN  on  percussion,  and  the  magnificent  HANNAH   MITCHELL  on  vocals.
