简介
Post-Industrial bio-punk, this album alludes to the anarchist nihilist majik short story entitled, 'Colx-Coxl Rising' [Originally printed in serial via the BLEAECK prisoner-support newsletter]. Colx-Coxl Rising (A Future Histroy), Pi Blackflag I. Nihilixtic-anarco-majikx (Gathering) the time and place is NOW – late summer months of gregorian common era 20I5, or 20i5. it is the global epoc; anarchists everywhere, scattered and in small bands, rove the imperialistic dominion in fear and fierce bravery – daily confronting the culture-of-death. it seems that of the 6Bilplus homeo-spacians, allies and ally-ships area a struggle within themselves. while daily, the earth-ship is being turned into a zoo of oil-consumerclass ‘sapiens’, some turn to the nihilixt-majik as a vent for anarco-dreams & realisticxque roll-play unto non-hierarchical sentience amidst the trappings of corporate and government well-fair and policed normalization. it started with the CONCH, the FeatherWeather Aboveground, the Bleaeck Flock in central Ohio. Having chosen a place in the ‘heart of the heart’ of the great enemy, the roots of resistance might crumble the headquarters of the conservative/corporo-beasts that capitalized the electoral ‘swing’…it went like this – to quote the godspeed you black emperor song…'mothers picked through the ruble and pulled out their hair – the skyline on fire..no driver at the wheel – the car is on fire.' the apocalypse is/isn’t what it had been hollywoodisiszed to be. Instead of decay and vast loss of life – on the surface things were ok. People thrived and did their meaningless lives to the tune of 6 billion. The occupy movement had been co-optd and cratered into a shell – the consciousness of mass nonchalance at the growing fascism is ‘america’ – the united-statesian empire was ablaze with anti-police brutality riot and talk-shows. The prisoner prisons were filling. Still, people filed through the grocery stores willing to pay for processed ‘non’-foods- processed machine bred hunks of by-product. Medications were a staple as water – and both were filled w/so many chemicals that dehydration was only combated with coffee. It became the first city-state movement to have a rising interest in ‘re-naming.’ The old centuries had brought so much a pride to the pseudo-metropolis. Guarded from/of depression sweeping globally elsewhere, this bub of government, university, arts & corporate stronghold didn’t completely stamp out a revoltist faction. This tiny splinter of consciousness was spread as wide and far as the name of the city – ‘Columbus.’ For in the very nature of the name, on all maps and in all postal codes, there was the recollection of genocide, conquering, death… it began with the invisible ‘x’ behind all labeled namings of the place. The great irony was that all it took was waking people to that dire cognition and making it happen. People began looking at the name with despise. People began scratching their eyes, then their fingers twitched. The chlorine in the water wasn’t enough to pacify their urges to not be branded by the name of one with so much blood on their hands. They felt the burn of the oppressed, murdered, repressed, diseased, marginalized – like saw-dust in their veins. It was unlike any chemical warfare you could imagine for it stemmed from the very human endocrine systems’ response to grief, remorse, decay, and the bio-feedback loops of radical alteration of the namesake of the Spanish conquistador. People began adding an x to the word: columbusx, columbxsux, xcolumbus, ex-city, x-city, colx, columbx, coxl for instance. It started by the hands of nihilist anarchists who did majik spells on street signs, in text books, in library books, maps everywhere, on-line, etc… the name slowly began to change in the minds of everyone until a new city was breathed into (un)-x-is-tance/existancxia… II. colx-coxl: a nihilixt-anarcho-majikx lair An ad-busted campaign as ubiquitous as cola would make the front of every billboard and placement of the product. But it took the humble beginnings of the zine, “Abolish Columbus’ distributed on ‘Columbus day’ 2014 on Ohio States campus. The city of Seattle – having hosted the great rebellion of 99 turned sixteen sweet by passing ‘indigenous peoples day’ in lieu of ‘columbus day’ that yea via city charter. A small band of roving bicyclists held an international convergence of community bike projects and proposed humbly that our city would be needing renaming… it happened in a frenzy like the rage virus – it happened slowly as a mossy decaying gentrification-inversion. No one knew from where of how it all went down but the ship crashed splintering on the rocks… Sometime in the early 2010’s the model of the santa maria vacated the immigrants memorial on the banks/shores of the Olentangy. The river was misnamed after legislation had passed to rename itn accord to native traditions. The point was – the value of having a model of pilgrim pillagers was out of the ‘capital.’ 4 radical canoed the waters with pink aerosol and marked the waters for autonomy then saw that the ship model was gone – no need to bomb it. There were other whispers of colx-coxl. A citizen review board of police misconduct was in the works. People were onto the corporate dynamic of the medical marijuana proposal for the ballot. There were anti-citizens united movers and peace activists and the lgbtq community… no one really took their home-town cock seriously for the ring of electoral republiscxn candidacy. Kasich was the shit-head who refused so many food-stamps, who towed ALEC’s lines – who represented the empire in their cherished ‘columbusx.’ The punks had said it for years, ‘columbus sucks because you suck.’ No one wanted to suck – vampires weren’t ‘hip’ unless you were hip and consuming like all the ‘normies’ who the CONCH exposed as very vampirical indeed with the i/6billion poem. The Feather Weather Aboveground put our (under Thea’s guide) pi blackflag’s nihilisxt-anarchism majik in tract forms, (Ch@os Virxus & ‘would you harm a fly?’ – there were lost manuscripts ‘An Empire – y’ for instance – poetry to drain the ego…) It all went to wreckage – everywhere people saw ‘Columbus’ written they cringed at the thought of genocide. We all wanted change – to radically alter the namesake of this bio-region’s hub. The insurance companies and banks may have even been moved. The government was the easy part… III. The Fall/Toppling of ‘Columbusx’ The X-city or Ex-Columbusx campaign ran for a decade. The grassroots proved their root. As ubiquitous & thin as turf, most breezed over the idea until people started seeing it all around town. ‘Abolish Columbus’ wheat pastes & graffiti started appearing. ‘X-City’ or just X were everywhere reminding people of whose town it really was on the street level; and whose namesake wout NOT be forgiven. It was like Anarcxia in Athens, Greece except non-centralized – a bredful and searing critique on the history of colonization and summons to ‘the new/ancient.’ Truly a peoples’ movement, never violent – ever so quiet. It all happened like a whisper in a thunderstorm. X amidst construction. Black ‘X’ed’ orange barrels and then Colx-coxl began to slowly circulate as a new namesake. The word play of ‘cox’ – a backwards rowing or rower backwards. Also, cox the abbreviation for the enyme in the body associated with pain and inflammation. It just worked… ‘How to Topple Columbus’ became a popular tract and a digitized ideology. It set the soil to the tone for all the leaves to sway together. The Colx-coxl coalition lunged life into ‘X-city’. It was like tapping the funny bone of the knee-jerk reflex on the revoltist spirit. Everywhere, everyone thought it a new moment of radical contemporary situation. We had all seen the Saddam Hussein statues pulled down during the ‘liberation’ of Iraq. After 525 years of colonialite rhetoric & implicit oppression, it only took 13 years of campaigning to mobilize the demolition squads… It happened on Indigenous Peoples’ Day. It was a ceremonial experience without much to do. One day people woke up and the statues 3 had all been toppled. By the waterfront, at the south-west corner of the state house, and at ‘Columbusx-state’ community college, they fell in the night almost too silently. When the days rallies congregated around them in planned protest, everyone was stunned that they all lay on their sides – dismembered and dead. It didn’t surprise anyone. Just as the Berlin wall or jim morrison’s grave had been graffitied, vandalized, and despised for years, so too the hideous Spaniards structures phallic so ready to be toppled. The city news didn’t bother to cover the story. You’d think with the response of the clean-up crews calm and ready response it had been expected. Yet, for all three to have almost simultaneously been tackled in one night, you would’ve expected there to be some talk (if only hushed) of conspiracy. The reality was that the government had been warned for nearly a decade that this shit would go down sooner or later – regardless of their cooperation/expedition of the process. They held out. They knew it was coming but didn’t act. They left the statues unguarded either not believing there was any real threat nor power in the Colx-Coxl committee mobilization on not willing to stand against such forceful and nuanced nihilixtas. The CONCH dissolved shortly after, their work work & main objective complete.
