简介
BAZAAR'S HISTORY The first concert of the band was in 1998, only a few months after Daniel Postružin and Damir Mihačić Miha formed an only bass & drum band, initially named Minstrel, which later became Bazaar. Maja Savić joined them on vocals in 1999. Bazaar's first release was a demo CD 'Broken Pieces' recorded live in November 1999, with Daniel on bass guitar, Miha on drums and Maja as a singer. All music on the album was composed by Daniel and lyrics written by Maja. From 1998 to 2001 Bazaar played several very impressive gigs throughout the alternative music venues in Croatia and Slovenia. Their jazz core style, with distorted bass guitar lines and confident jazzy vocals, was quite unique at the time, so the band received excellent reviews from their listeners, as well as from the eminent music magazine Nomad in 2000. After the trio broke apart in 2001, Maja built a respectable career as a jazz vocalist and a voice teacher, Miha as a drum player in h/c alternative bands and Daniel in composing brainwave music with the worldwide appreciated Anemona Brainwave album series. 'BASS & DREAMS' ALBUM 15 years after, Daniel and new members Maja Ivanković and Ivan Uravić Ur got together with the idea to make a mini 'remote' album outside a pro studio. Every member recorded the lines at home, which were then mixed together at the Anemona Home Studio. The album brought quite a change in the music style of Bazaar, with bass guitar playing ambient sounds instead of distorted accords, 12-string acoustic guitar and atmospheric synth lines, all based on the A=432 Hz tuning. 'Bass & Dreams' is an intricate and distinguished blend of post rock and ambient bass style.
