Christian Celaya (of Benzos) and Woody Ranere (of Lake Trout) make up the group known as WITH LIONS. In November 2011, the duo kicked-off an ambitious four EPs-a-year cycle with the release of Touch The Sound. The New Yorker called Touch The Sound, "slow-cooked shoegaze," and Time Out NY dubbed it, "moody, post-Radiohead art pop." Genres are ubiquitous in music. Artists are defined by a literal sound or musical genus. Some may deem this labeling as legitimization. For With Lions, it’s regulation. The next With Lions EP is Equipo (eh-KEE-po) - Spanish for 'team' - and will be released on June 12, 2012. Equipo is atmospheric, chambre rock with orchestral arrangements and has an expanded intonation to Touch The Sound. Recorded and mixed by Steve Wright, Nick Sjostrom, Woody Ranere and Christian Celaya, Equipo was mastered at The Pod by Rob Beaton (Inception, Batman Begins), on loan from blockbuster composer Hans Zimmer to put the finishing touches on the recording.
