简介

Ellohe was born in L.A. where she started singing gospel at the tender age of 3. Several years later her family moved to East Oakland where the urge to sing grew as fast as she did reaching the height of 5’5” at 9 ½ years old. When you’re this tall basketball seems to be an appropriate release, but over the next couple of years the troubling streets of Oakland California would dictate a different move. Hopeful for an enhanced environment, Ellohe’s family sent her to the east coast, Grundy Virginia, to attend the Christian school, Mountain Mission. This would greatly impact her singing career interests which she had started keeping a secret out of respect for culturally strict aspects and opinions on mainstream music. While in the East Coast Ellohe didn’t have her family’s watchful eyes and connected with some mischievous school mates. Her new “bad girl” Christian peers played a variety of diverse hip music unlike the gospel music she was accustom to. The shy 11 year old began writing music and singing in secret for the next few years. One day, at age 15, while singing Lauryn Hill’s rendition of “Killing Me Softly” at a birthday party, an impressed choir director over heard and told her, “Don’t waste what God gave you!” Taking the advice, Ellohe was able to excel in choir class and later, along with the choir, sang the National anthem for NASCAR with over 120,000 people in attendance which was also viewed by millions world wide. Eventually she moved back to California’s Bay Area but again had to make secret of her now serious desire for music. The love and respect for her Ethiopian culture, which had a different view on music, would motivate an extreme consideration. Ellohe, a deep thinker who’s mind is constantly evolving, wondered, “Why would God make us human with these life issues and not want us to sing about it?” “If I can talk about it, why can’t I sing about it?” Shortly after graduating from high school she joined the army for two years. Ellohe was enthusiastic about taking advantage of having the uncompromised freedom to mature and grow musically and beyond. She returned at age 19 with a purpose, and 1 year later met with HHK Records Chief of Operations, Natalie Williams, who became her manager. Ellohe signed with HHK Records in 2008. One CEO of HHK Records called Ellohe, “…tall and beautiful with an even taller and more beautiful voice and her personality is a gift to a cruel world.” Ellohe is truly one-of-a-kind and does not portray something she is not. She is easy to work with because she is willing to try new things and step out of the norm like one of her favorite musicians, Lady Gaga. Ellohe is statuesque like a new millennium Phyllis Hyman and of pure pleasure for sensitive ears like Maxwell. After a recent performance Arian Lawrence of IOP Corp says, “Ellohe is an absolutely wonderful vocalist- easy on the ears, easy on the eyes, and comforting to the soul.” When not eating her favorite food, lasagna, or playing with her cat, she is singing while jogging and thinking of how to save endangered species. A role model for some, Ellohe steers clear of mean, conceited, or bad spirited people. She has numerous professional performances in her repertoire and a new hot album cooling on the window seal entitled “Live, Laugh, Love .” Ellohe is eloquent in plays, at weddings, at large and small venues, and remains eager and destined to make an iconic mark in music. When asked “What does music mean to you?” She sighs and says, “Music is life and will always be a part of me…” Ellohe - Hebrew for “Almighty one” Age- 22 Height- 6’1” Eye color- brown favorite color- black/gold Ethnicity Ethiopian Personal quote- “Live life!” Five Words- Social Silly Rebellious tall Unique Hobbies- swimming, ice skating, reading, praying, drawing, writing
