I grew up in a time when there wasn't any labels put on music. You could listen to Johnny Cash, Wilson Pickett and the Everly Brothers back to back as they spun on the turntable. A good song was a good song! I always loved the sound of an acoustic guitar being strummed or finger picked. My ears would open wide to the sounds of a Hammond Organ,Pedal Steel and a Rickenbacker twelve string. Add a Melodic electric guitar,drums ,Fender bass and I was in heaven. I like writing my songs to be played with a backing band in the studio and in a live setting. I call my group The Backburners. Most of the songs on this record flow from country,folk, rock and blues. Truth,Fact and Fiction. Good situations and Bad. Life! I loved sitting with my brother listening to 45's and LP's. This album "Look Both Ways" is kinda like that. Don't be afraid to turn it up! Some songs have a mournful sound while a few will hopefully make you want to move the furniture back and dance.
