Used Alien Mind’s new album is stylistically eclectic as a result of collaborating with long-time friends Jon Wohl, Robert Wohl, Pete Weiss and newcomer Katie Beckman on many of the songs. The album’s distinctive sound is also due in part to working in different studios, and using a mixture of lo-fi and high-end recording equipment. The end result creates a brooding, hazy array of sound collages and musical landscapes. Kick back, throw on the head phones, light up and dig the space grooves. Zonked Records
