When one’s music doesn’t fall into one particular style or category it’s sometimes difficult to find musicians who can adapt to the changing moods of his music. Ordinarily, that would have been the case with me on the “Battlefield Of Love” album. But I knew who I wanted to play on this album for I had worked with them on other projects, and I knew that they would play exactly what I felt each song called for.

I look at songs like they are paintings, with each instrument representing a different color which has to be carefully and rightfully applied, not too weak - but not overstated either, if the finished product is to be a work of art. And, just as I like different styles of paintings, I like different styles of music which sometimes take on each others characteristics. I guess that’s why it’s difficult to peg my music as being of one style.
