Born and raised in Buffalo, NY to an MC Father and Singing Mother, Genecist was introduced to a wide variety of musical influences all his life. Growing up on Wu Tang Clan to Lauryn Hill, Nas to Linkin Park, Lupe Fiasco to Brian Mcknight, Genecist naturally wrote music that reflected such a multi-faceted musical library. Thankful to have both gifts of his mother and father, it was also only natural for Genecist to make music in both genres in which he's coined the name to his work as "Eerie Serenation" for it's heavy minor and blues scales usage. Genecist is a founding member of Buffalo's lone Hip-Hop/R&B group "4 B-LO". Sit back and lose yourself in the intricately worded lyrics, and melodic harmonies found in Genecist's writings.
