Latiyah was raised in the south side of Rotterdam where she was born out of a Kaapverdian Father and Surinamese/Belgium Mother. Latiyah was inspired by artists like Aaliyah, TLC, Mary J Blidge, Envogue, Sisqo, Kriss Kross, BIG, Lil Kim and more. Latiyah entered the music scene since the age of 15, from where she grew to the artist she became to the very day. As Latiyah moved forward as a vocal artist she took part of theater productions. Since the end of 2015 Latiyah was inspired to do even more and step up her game as a vocal artist. It all got serious by collaborating with producer Michael Powell and mixing engineer Clyde Marengo to record her first EP. Latiyah better known as 'Latiyah Artista' released her first single called “Drunk & Wasted” in July 2016. And a Buzztrack called 'Goddess'. More will be released in time as Latiyah continues her dedication towards her musical goals. From the state of mind where Latiyah believes in, there will always be multiple ways to work upon your goals as long as you have faith and know how to listen well to your inner voice as she continues to develop her skills to higher levels. With the right mindset your imagination can become a reality. There are no borderlines unless you yourself allow it so. Latiyah loves the act of surprise where she creatively touches the hearts of many by using her own line of truth in her songs to lyrically express herself.
