Unit 4+2专辑介绍:by Bruce EderA shift to another record label (Fontana) resulted in a new album after several failed singles. Unit 4+2 is a more rocking effort than its similarly titled predecessor, but is still very rooted in harmony vocals. The playing is harder and more aggressive, with a kind of breezy quasi-psychedelic/pop air which, if they could've generated it in 1966 or 1967, might've made the group favorites on the club scene and the U.K. charts. By 1969, however, this material all sounded a bit passé, despite some superb playing on tracks like &I Will.& For every good moment -- like the dazzling acoustic guitar break on that number or the hook-laden chorus on &Too Fast, Too Slow& -- there were slow, romantic string-laden pop ballads (such as &Face In My Head&) to weigh down the record, and some of the material, such as &(Living In) The World of Broken Hearts,& was just sappy. Without a hit single to drive its sales, the group's second LP sank without a trace, much as the band itself had called it quits by that time as well.
