I am 21 years old and currently attend Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Ohio. I am a senior music composition major. DJRJ began in the beginning of 2004 when I became serious about producing an album. DJRJ provides an outlet to compose music that is not strictly art music. By employing techniques learned in composition and theory classes I am able to stay away from generic pop sounds and overused clichés.
