简介
Secret Agent Gel has spent ten years producing electronic music and more than fifty live performances concentrating on the perfect mix of danceable and interesting. The biggest influences have been releases from Rephlex, Warp, Planet-mu and underground electronic music from the UK and the internet. His mix of genres got him an album on Opiate Records in 2000 and tracks on Recordcamp's "Brooklyn Keeps On Takin' It" compilation and Badd Inc's first Electroclash compilation a few years later. Tours to Europe and continued shows around the US followed, opening for Chicks on Speed, Datach'i, Tomas Jirku, Andreas Tilliander and many more. The UK was always an influence, and 2-step riddims started making their way into S.A.Gel's music after playing with Ardisson at Electrowerkz in London in 2003. Then followed grime and finally, dubstep. With a move from New York City to rural Pennsylvania in 2004 to focus on producing, dubstep tracks influenced by Loefah, Plasticman, Vex’d and Skream have taken over the Secret Agent Gel studio. In the last two years, DJ's like Quiet Storm and Joe Nice (among many others) have championed the Secret Agent Gel sound. Tracks have dropped on RinseFM, BBC Radio 1, SubFM, DarkFM and at too many good parties to mention. In 2006, watch for two releases, a CD collection and collaborations with DJ Wedge of the Bristol-based H.E.N.C.H. crew and the London-based MC Warrior Queen.
