Written over the span of 3 years beginning immediately after the release of "The Spirit of the Stairs," Saint Bernard began to dive into a more story-driven avenue, pulling from more literary and film influences like Raymond Carver and Ingmar Bergman. The album was recorded in Columbus, Ohio over the span of 7 months.
