The next release from Revolucion Records brings the long awaited return of the highly talented Maltese based Dj and producer Malcolm Abdilla. Usually recording under the name Deepfunk this superb debut release under his brand new Trebon moniker contains 4 original tracks of deep, underground minimal beats, that are just perfect for those deeper dancefloor moments. Since his first release on Revolucion back in September 2007, Malcolm's production career has truly blossomed to the stage where he is at today, with him now having a very impressive back catalogue of releases that bearing his name. In the space of just three short years he has already established himself as a name to look out for, and his zest for pushing electronic music forward whether it be deep and melodic music, underground minimal beats for more electro and experimental stuff has seen his music find flavour among a whole host of leading Djs such as Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Dave Seaman amongst others. Malcolm continues to push the boundaries forward with this superb Trebon debut, "Particles" received great reviews when out on a limited WMC promo earlier in the year and is 7 minutes of pure underground dancefloor fodder that slowly builds and builds until its drops into a haunting breakdown and then it explodes all over again, definitely one for those dark rooms, "Two Years And A Week" which also went down well on the same promo stays on the underground house tip but with much more funk to it than the title track. "Acapulco" takes things much deeper than the previous two tracks, making great use of its minimal beats to craft a track that perfect for warm up sets, and finishing things of nicely is the equally deep but more dancefloor friendly "Zook" with its excellent tribal undertones and exotic percussion giving it an almost oriental feel.
