This just in: Sail Back (Extended Version) becomes a Top 10 Pop/Rock indie hit Worldwide on Broadjam .....(Dec. 2013)..... Frank Radice has been playing, writing and producing music since he was 10 years old. This latest effort is an album that contains some of his finest songs. Sharon and Mike Giannini provided the cover photo and Mike Radice helped develop the cover layout... Also, Mike R. played drums on many of the songs. Song details: Sail Back (extended version)-Written in 2011. This song is a personal favorite so I thought I'd try an extended version. My son, Michael, added an excellent drum track that I feel enhances the song a lot. I'd like to thank Mark A. P. Sirinathsingh (Warehaus Recording Studio, LLC) for his mixing advice on this tune. An Angel In Disguise-Written in 2012. This is a brand new song which could almost be seen as a Sail Back part 2 (very similar style). Bob Vita suggested the guitar solo in the middle of the song which was a Great idea....My Daughters really like this one. Holdin' You-Written in 2012-This is another personal favorite sung by a tremendous local talent by the name of Kari Mackiewicz. A big thanks to Joe Schleis for introducing me to Kari. A big thanks to Kari for a wonderful vocal performance. As Far As I Can See- Written in 2013- A Bluesy type track inspired by Ray Charles and Eric Clapton. Thanks to Mike Lemon who suggested turning down the keyboard on this track. I really like the way I sang this.... The Golden Ring-Written in 1987 with Fred Pieper. An earlier version of this song sung by Richard "Cookie" Thomas charted on itunes in Denmark in 2010 peaking out at number 56 on the Blues Chart. I always struggled singing this song myself until I sang it in a Mark Knopfler type style. I'm happy with the results. Sadly, my friend Fred Pieper, passed away in 2002. He was a great singer/songwriter and friend who is sorely missed. The Golden Ring Chorus: The reason for living is in the giving The reason for loving is the reason for living...... The Only Reason-Written in 2012-This title track is special to me because I think I'm trying to express the struggles that we all face in life and the sacrifices that we make for each other. The Wind And Sand- Written in 2013-This is a simple acoustic folk like ballad that was inspired by Donovan's "Catch The Wind". I really like the simple arrangement (acoustic guitar and voice). Many people felt that this track should be released as is with all the bumps and bruises a demo usually has..... After listening back, I realized that the message is something nice that I think was intended for my children and grandchildren. If You Go-Written in 2013. This is a new upbeat tune reminiscent of something from the 60s. While My Guitar Gently Weeps-Written by George Harrison. I thought I'd include this Beatle cover as a tribute to George Harrison who would've turned 70 this year. George was a tremendous talent who inspired many songwriters and guitarists. Michael Radice played the drums on this track and Bob Vita played bass... When Your Heart is Torn-Written in 2013. This song is a last minute addition to this album. I really like the chorus.... It's Nothing That You've Done-Written in 2011. This song features a Great vocal by Cookie Thomas. Many thanks to all my friends and family for helping me decide which tracks should be on this album.
