Some time ago a friend handed over a DR-880 along with the manual and said, “use it”! Soon after, the beautiful spouse purchased a DP-32 as a birthday gift and said, “use it”! Oh man … there was definitely a learning curve to navigate but eventually the songs started to show up. “U Nvr No” and “After Math” first, “Wine and Gravy” and “Piston Revisited” were next. Summer was slow, distracted by health issues. “22 Rok” and “September Funk” came along in the fall. There was a temptation to wait until four more showed up so that the release would be a tidy ten. Didn’t happen. No time like the present. All the guitar performances are live, no loops. The best way to describe these compositions is to label them as “original electric guitar instrumentals with bass and drum accompaniment combining elements of jazz, jazz-fusion, rock and funk styles of music.” Thanks for showing an interest in the songs.
