CHICO COELHO is a Brazilian singer/songwriter who lives in San Francisco, California, US. He does BPM—Brazilian Pop Music, which is a gender of music with a variety of musical influences from around the world. He plays nylon guitar and sings following the steps of Chet Baker, João Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Gilberto Gil, and other. His songs speak about love, life in Brazil on the beach, love, urbanism, love, philosophy, love. His music is influenced by Brazilian composers such as Tom Jobim, Gilberto Gil, and by Chet Baker’s vocals and trumpet, Billie Holiday, Jazz, Classical music and other musical genders. He has two albums recorded in Brazil with some of the best musicians in that country, like Sizão Machado, Marcelo Maita, Edu Ribeiro, Bocato, Mohamed, Tiago Costa, Binga and others. He currently performs around the San Francisco Bay Area, and occasionally plays in Paraty (Rio de Janeiro), Sao Paulo, and Piracicaba in Brazil. www.chicocoelho.com
