Zane Ashton (aka Bill Aken) - 1960's recordings from the artist whose life story is chronicled in the 2014 book "Carry Your Own Guitar" (From abandoned child to legendary musician). One of the founding members of 'The First Call Gang,' later to become world famous as 'The Wrecking Crew' who played on hundreds of hit records over three decades. Many of the individual members recorded their own material (such as this album) using friends from the group.

The only Caucasian member of rock and roll's first inter-racial band, 'Los Nomadas' also known as 'The Nomads.' Adopted son of Mexican movie actress Lupe Mayorga and classical guitarist Francisco Mayorga. Lifelong boyhood friends with Rick Nelson and Del Shannon who would often work on his records with him.
