Contagious Faith was formed in the summer of 2008 by four young friends whose love for music and Christ's ministry compelled them to create a way in which to lead others to the ultimate Lifesource. After getting involved with praise team at their local church, they soon realized the call to write original music and songs. Being involved at church allowed them develop the talent given to them by God. Before long people started inviting them to perform at other churches and have full concerts in different venues. Since the organization of the ministry, singer/songwriter Alexander Cortes has written the bands music. "I implement life experiences into my songs," Alexander says. "Every word in the music has meaning to me and I just hope that, by God's grace, He can use my writing in His own way. Maybe someone out there listening can relate and can be drawn closer to the Creator's arms. I'm just wanting to be used by Him." The group has performed at various venues from church conference camp meetings to car shows. "We enjoy every single opportunity we have to Praise our God," says bass guitarist, Anthony Cortes. "After all, He gave us the talent...and we want to glorify Him, and only Him, with it!" Contagious Faith released their first album, Hope In The Sky, in July 2012 after releasing their four-track EP in 2011. Recently, they were blessed with the opportunity to write Southwestern Adventist University's theme song two years in a row. "In the House of the Lord" for the 2014-2015 school year and "I Will Go" for the 2015-2016 school year. They released their second English album and first Spanish album in the summer of 2016. They're goal is to continue praising Christ and are making plans to release more music in the years to come.
