简介
The Techsans Roadhouse Band is based in Nashville, Tennessee. J. B. Smith grew up in Michigan, played extensively in Toronto and Chicago, and moved to Nashville in the mid-1980’s. He immediately began lengthy touring stints as a guitarist and fiddle player for Tanya Tucker and T.G. Sheppard. During these periods he wrote and collaborated with many songwriters and had songs on hold with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Alabama, as well as cuts by Molly Hatchet and several artists in Canada, South Africa, and Germany. After the roadwork, he continued to work in clubs in Nashville with bands in the surrounding area, as well as teaching international students songwriting as a teacher of English as a Second Language. He continues to write while living in South Nashville. Jake Brooks is a native of New Mexico, and was invited to join The Aggie Ramblers Western Dance Band at age 19 by his brother, Emmit, who played guitar and bass in the band and owns and operates recording and mastering studios in Las Cruces. The Aggie Ramblers performed throughout the southwest most every Friday and Saturday night between 1955 to 1975, entertaining crowds at fairs, rodeos, nightclubs and barn dances. Jake played drums in the band from 1966 to 1969 while working his way through college at NMSU. After serving in the Army for two years, he rejoined the Aggie Ramblers as a guitar player for six years, and earned a graduate degree in Agricultural Economics. Jake moved to Nashville in 1978 to pursue a songwriting career, and has had cuts by Chris LeDoux, Porter Waggoner, Conway Twitty, The Glazer Brothers, Dave and Sugar, and Reg Lindsey, among others. While performing as a solo act in a Nashville club, Jake met J. B. Smith, and the two subsequently played numerous clubs in the Nashville area as a duo. The Techsans Roadhouse Band uses the latest music and computer technology to deliver rock solid sound to its fanbase. "Christmas With The Techsans Roadhouse Band" is the product of many songwriting and recording sessions over the past year. We hope you enjoy it!
