“Long Distance” is the long haul collaborative project between Kell Hvolbol; Bernalillo, New Mexico and Preben Hoejegaard; Copenhagen Denmark. Kell and Preben are both founding members of the 70’s Danish rock band “Palpitation”. Even though they grew up in the same area of Copenhagen and attended the same high school, they started making music together, only after a chance encounter in a club in Calella, Spain. Both in their late teens they were there on separate holidays. Kell had been part of a singer/songwriter group for sometime and had written songs since he was fifteen, Preben had a lot of unfinished lyrics in a drawer, but they quickly discovered that they could work together and began writing within the year. Now some forty years later they have dusted off some of their old materiel and have started to collaborate again, from their home studios, some 7,000 miles apart. The music is influenced by the sixties British beat with a twist of new age and easy listening.
