About This Song: A young Facebook friend posted a message late one night... it read something like, "I feel useless... like nothing matters." All I could think to say in response was that's just not true. Then I wrote this song. About Julie: Julie Hoy is a songwriter, singer/musician, author, storyteller, humorist and inspirational speaker. A native of the Pacific Northwest, she has been playing guitar, writing music and performing most of her life. She has many years experience recording and performing at a variety of venues and events throughout the Northwest and far beyond. Julie is a composer with Oregon Catholic Press. In December 2011 her Mass of Simplicity, written for the Catholic Church, was approved and published. Sound samples and sheet music for the Mass of Simplicity are available at www.ocp.org. Julie has an extensive discography and in 2010 released her first book, Could I Paint the Sky? The Resource Guide for Could I Paint the Sky? (a teaching accompaniment) was released 2011. Julie is truly a servant of God. She has a heart for giving and is called to raise money and awareness for those in need. She helped to form the non profit organization, Friends of Pimpollo, and for many years has worked closely with under served children and adults in southern Mexico.
