After fighting tirelessly against the traditions of her country, Dr. Velasquez got an education in medicine and became a doctor. But a tragic accident left her bedridden, with no possible solutions to her back problem. Faced with the idea of seeing his mother live the rest of her life in bed and in excruciating pain, Dr. Velasquez’s son encouraged his mother to use her mind to fight the pain.

After dedicating hours to her meditation practices, she finally built up her strength emotionally, physically, and mentally. This led to the greatest result of all, and one that defied medicine – she stood up. Today, Dr. Velasquez is devoted to helping others overcome barriers in their life through her three-step programs, which focus on gratitude, faith, and meditation.
