Rivers began with the confluence of Dexter Wolfe, Colin Carey & Pat Kuehn playing music together in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Since 2011, Rivers's members have been fragmented, living across the United States and Europe. They have worked on and off, slowly yet steadily making progress toward the release of their debut album, 'Of Dusk', in June 2014. Although 'Of Dusk' was written by Wolfe amid moving between Minnesota, Wisconsin, Spain and Latvia, the album is rooted in Eau Claire, Wisconsin – a home that all three members share. 'Of Dusk' has its roots in a myriad of folk traditions and yet it is expansive. It explores love, loss, nostalgia, death, and more. But when all is said and done, the music must speak for itself.
