简介

"First Person" is a critically acclaimed documentary series produced by Errol Morris. Aired on Bravo, the first season featured 11 half-hour episodes, each focused on a different person with an unusual talent, personality or vocation. The first episode, "Stairway to Heaven," is about Temple Grandin, an autistic woman who designs humane animal slaughterhouses. Other programs feature a shyster lawyer, a CIA mole and a woman whose job is to clean up crime scene messes. Errol Morris has produced numerous documentary programs and films, including "Fog of War," winner of the 2004 Academy Award for best feature-length documentary, "Fast, Cheap and Out of Control," "Mr. Death" and "The Thin Blue Line". Composer John Kusiak has collaborated with Morris on several projects, and produced the music for both seasons of "First Person". Kusia's music, ranging from lyrical to spooky, complements the quirky subjects of Morris' films. The music on this disc is a collection of 18 pieces selected from the many compositions that John produced for the first season. "After twenty years of reviewing films, I haven't found another filmmaker who intrigues me more... Errol Morris is like a magician, and as great a filmmaker as Hitchcock of Fellini." -- Roger Ebert "One of the Top Ten Television Shows of the Year." -- Time Magazine
