Jazz and Hymns have always seemed like a natural fit to me. Melodically, these Hymns have stood the test of time and continue to be recorded over and over again. This record is an attempt to breathe new life into the harmonic structure of these songs while preserving the strength of the original melodies. The improvisational segments of the arrangements are there to take these songs to new places musically and to give you, the listener a glimpse into my soul. Join me on this journey as I explore new sounds, fresh harmonies and the presence of God.
