Andrew Gill is a singer/songwriter from Shelburne Vermont and will be a graduate of St. Michaels College in Colchester by May of 2007. Playing guitar since his sixteenth birthday and singing for his entire life, A Noble Cause represents a blend of acoustic and rock sounds, with a hint of folk. Most all of which was written over the course of Andrews collegiate career, sitting in Dorm hallways or tucked away in the student lounge to allow his roommate time to sleep. Though the album is upbeat and fun, Andrew’s is a political science and history major with a strong devotion to human rights and trans-national equality, these ideals come out on the CD. Recorded and Produced professionally in the rural Vermont town of Charlotte, the Album is incredibly clear and the artwork on the cover, created by Eric Desch a long time friend of Andrew’s illustrates well the peaceful feeling that A Noble Cause puts forth. Though as of now Andrew is still struggling to be recognized the time and energy put into this CD should enable that long awaited breakthrough. The hope is that the music will speak for itself.
