Album Press Release: SINGER/SONGWRITER ARINMAYA RELEASES LIVE STUDIO ALBUM: LET THE LOVE COME June 2011 — As summer comes into view this year, so will the long-awaited live-in-studio acoustic album from Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter, ArinMaya. The album, aptly named Let the Love Come is available for presale on bandcamp — the full release will be June 14th. Preceded by its single “Lemon Drops,” available now for free digital download, Let the Love Come is ArinMaya's first full-length project, co-written, arranged and performed with long-time guitarist and collaborator, Nick Cassarino of Lifted Crew and The Nick Cassarino Trio. Compiled with the eager listener in heart and in mind, Let the Love Come lives up to its title by featuring both original and cover songs that usher in the numerous notions of love. Whether touching on romantic love or dangerous love, or toying with hopeful or questionable love, the songs ArinMaya has selected are thoughtful, precise and powerful. From ArinMaya’s self-assuring anthem "Purpose of Me" to an intimate version of Lauryn Hill & D'Angelo's soul classic "Nothing Even Matters" to "Walk on Water," one of Cassarino's melodies shadowed by ArinMaya's vocals, Let the Love Come promises to please. The album’s single, “Lemon Drops,” is a beautiful song of uplift, reprising with “I believe in you, I believe in me, I believe in we.” “Lemon Drops” is available for free digital download on bandcamp. Let the Love Come was inspired by the innate connectivity between the two collaborators whose musical repertoire, like the album, captures the essence of soul, jazz and folk music. The blend of their voices could heal any open wound and their harmonies are a certain heaven-send. Just one year ago, ArinMaya successfully released her eclectic debut EP, The Sound of ArinMaya, which traversed the influences of gospel, a cappella, rhythm & blues, soul, folk, electrobeat, and more, into a world now waiting to see what's next.
