At a young age Eric had a fondness for Classical, Jazz, Flamenco music and Pop music. Spending days listening to guitar giants like Carlos Montoya, Al di Meola, John McLaughlin, John Williams and Alex Lifeson had an enormous affect on Eric's sense of melody throughout his early development. Eric began studying the guitar at age 14 and was performing professionally with local rock groups by the age 16. Eric attended Florida Atlantic University where he studied Classical and Jazz guitar. He was the first guitarist to complete the Honors Performance Program at F.A.U. and graduated with academic honors in 1996. During his time in college, Eric also studied Flamenco and Latin American music with musicians from Spain and Peru.

In 2001 Eric began his solo career and landed his first distribution deal with Neurodisc Records. Eric's first two releases, Without Words and Romancero spent many weeks on Billboard's Top 25 New Age Music Chart. Eric went on to release two more albums under the Neurodisc label with Colores del Alma and Across the Universe, a Beatles Journey. Colores del Alma featured collaborations with Latin Jazz guru Ed Calle who arranged horn sections on two tracks. Across the Universe, a Beatles Journey was a departure from the Spanish guitar genre and featured original Classical guitar arrangements of the music of the Beatles. Having satisfied his contract with Neurodisc, Eric continued to display his versatility by releasing his fifth album, a Smooth Jazz endeavor entitled, 360 Blue which features collaborations with renowned soprano saxophone player, Marion Meadows as well as some of South Florida's finest musicians. In March, 2011, Eric released his sixth album entitled String Theory. Having come full circle this album returns to the Spanish guitar genre with an ideal blend of Flamenco, Jazz and Classical music combined with Latin and Middle Eastern percussion. This release also includes Eric's fiery rendition of the Eagles' tune, Hotel California which has been a crowd favorite since it was first performed.
