MALAIKA MEANS ANGEL IN KISWAHILI. IT IS A PERFECT COMPLIMENT TO SUCH BEAUTIFUL VOICES. THE MUSIC IS GOSPEL, THE LANGUAGE IS KISWAHILI AND THE SOUND IS RELAXING AND SOOTHING. THE ARTIST'S BIO LENORA OCHIENG-SOPRANO & ALTO Artist started singing at the age of twelve in a church choir and later joined a group that is internationally known, MUUNGANO CHOIR, founded by BONIFACE MGANGA who is presently a Member of Parliament in Kenya. She also participated in various competitions mainly as a SOPRANO SOLOIST. The artist toured Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and USA for festivals and concerts. She gives special thanks to her director/voice trainer, Hon. Boniface Mganga. ALLEN TOBIAS- TENOR & BASS Artist started singing at the age of nine in a church choir and Muungano Choir. He sang with various choirs throughout the world and taught music to both children and adults. Allen conducted a MASS CHOIR in South Africa and also competed as a TENOR SOLOIST, singing scores from great composers such as G.F. Handel, Mozart, and Bach. He toured Europe, Asia and USA for festivals and concerts. He gives special thanks to his teacher, AGGREY LUGALIA, who was an inspiration and mentor to him. The artists would like to thank Joel and Rachel Gaya, their managers at Gaya&Gaya Music for believing in them and making their first CD (Thank You Mama) possible.
