ARTISTE- VYBRID ON THE RISE Vybrid is one of the newest and most talented additions to the Music Industry of both The Reggae and Dancehall Arena recognized globally. The 23 year old Artiste was born in Kingston, Jamaica, grew up in Guyana, South America and later migrated to the United States of America, where he currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. The Artiste, who started singing at a very tender age of 2, can remember his first live performance being in Church at age 6. Vybrid, whose real name is Ashley Johnson, is currently managed by The Black Diamond Family Records in Georgia, USA. The Artiste expressed his love for the music entirely and icons of the music that he looks up to include: Luciano, Bounty Killer, Sizzla and Vybz Kartel. The Artiste also expressed that if he had the chance to do a perfect collaboration with another Musical Icon, he would choose Luciano. “I love Luciano’s Music and the energy and the words of his songs, the lyrical contents pull me to his music”, says the Artiste, who is also currently working on a collaboration with Teflon, produced by Black Diamond Records. Vybrid is also currently working on a Single with Baby G Productions to be released early this year on the General Science Riddim titled “MUSICAL HUSTLE”. Vybrid has performed both locally and internationally including a very dynamic performance at University of Baltimore among many others.
