Karin Hougaard's album BLY (meaning 'stay" in Afrikaans) was recorded in February 1994. This cd remains one of the classic Afrikaans albums of all time. The song KRUIETUIN has been included in latest edition of the Afrikaans Song Book (The FAK) - a huge honor as it recognizes the song to be part of the Afrikaans culture and language's heritage. The same song's lyrics have been prescribed in the poetry curriculum for Afrikaans learners in Grade 11 through-out South African schools.
