Alvaro Brites musical influences during his youth and the transition from 80's to the 90's had been significant to him. It's when the electronic music begins to rule all over the dance floors in Europe. That entire ambience led to a more underground sound, which really stimulated Alvaro to begin his career as a Dj. Together with friends Alvaro began playing in clubs, bars and parties that the group itself used to promote. Their days were spent in the 'bunker', as it was called. Nothing more than a house basement with 3 turntables, a mixer, power amplifier and 2 stereo speakers. That was really enough for them to practice and listen to the vinyl. Interested in the new technology of musical production he moved to London and he begins attending the course of Sound Engineering at SAE in Caledonian Rd. Studios where all his doubts related to sound were then clarified. Once here his influences taken from the intimate parties in London and access to a wider variety of musical inspiration, record shops and ideas . In 2006 he moved to Sao Paulo and as soon as he arrived, he was invited to play in several reference clubs in Brazil, where he is performing as a Dj and Producer. In his last release 'Dream Collector EP' he went from tech-house to techno mixing rugged bass lines with steely beats which is his main style of production. Although, his versatile nature his productions also go from down-tempo to low bpm's 2012 brings his new work 'Code Vision EP' out in October on Question of Time
