The album brings together top musicians including New York funkmeisters MILO Z. The Reputation of Basement Freaks spreads with fast rhythms and and international reception has been enthusiastic… Ladies and Gentlemen welcome Basement Freaks and enjoy Urban Jungle, one of the best funky groovy albums ever to come from Greece. TRACKS 1. INTRO: The noisy sounds of the city mixed with African percussion on a primitive dub beat is the intro which paints the image of Urban Jungle and a taster of the albums character. 2. NEIGHBORHOOD ATTACK: A dubby & trippin’ glimpse on living in the jungle, which is always wild and tough. 3. DURU PEOPLE: Smokin’ all the dayz, funkin’ all the time. A happy time of an Urban Junkie. A funky track dedicated to all Duru people! 4. NOVA MONKEYS: How you gonna enjoy good music……? They gave color to the city walls in the period 1995 -1998. Spray samples, city sounds, d**e aesthetics subterranean guitars mixed with ambulance sounds and a sample from “Reservoir Dogs” movie. This track reveals the fierce feeling of the might and endless chase which for some means that they are still alive. 12. With this track they stamp on the concept of Urban Jungle which, although dark in its message, allows optimism to shine through the creation of music.
