Shamara is a Washington DC native and an American Singer-Songwriter. Shamara wants nothing more in life than the opportunity to bless the world with her musical gift. Music has always been a driving force in her life. She began singing and performing at the tender age of 4. Shamara started performing talent shows, school functions, and local plays. 'I've been singing since I could talk...it's just something that I've always done...my mom sings, my father sings, music is all I know.” She has participated in shows such as American Idol, Showtime at the Apollo and Americas Got Talent. She continues to study artists like Tony Braxton, Aaliyah, Beyonce, and Rihanna .Growing up with a diverse musical background she strives for perfection of her craft, and uses her journey as motivation. Music runs through her veins and continues to be the back drop of her everyday life. Her grind, passion, and humility is grooming Shamara into the artist she wants to be. Shamara is preparing for the release of her much anticipated EP MaraGe. Life has not always been easy but with her humble and sassy personality, incredible sense of humility, and amazing drive to accomplish any goal set in front of her; Shamara will be a force to reckon with in the entertainment world to come.
