Players of Games is a duo album featuring Piano/Keyboard player Peter Lemer and Violinist Billy Thompson. Originally recorded in 2003 at Peter Lemer's studio in Great Hallingbury (north east of London), this album features two of the amazing musicians from Barbara Thompson's Paraphernalia. There are 5 original tunes by Piano/keyboard genius Peter Lemer and 4 original tunes by the improvising violin virtuoso Billy Thompson. There is also an original tune by Barbara Thompson, one by Phil Miller and two interesting arrangements of Ellington's 'A' Train and Hammerstein's 'Softly as a Morning's Sunrise'. The style of music could possibly be described as 'Classical Jazz' due to the combination of these two classical musicians gone bad!
