The time was the early 1980s and the place was New York city. It was then that band leader, composer and singer Nick Hernandez put together a cracking band and recorded some swinging salsa music. Music for listening to and, for sure, dancing. Recalling the heyday of 1970s, this is salsa music mixed in with some sweet Cuban son montuno. Nick and his band lay down some killer grooves, rarely if ever, bettered. The music is still fresh and the quality shines through.
