Polyrhythmic is comprised of Greg Spero, Hadrien Feraud, Mike Mitchell and Dario Chiazzolino, aggregated to play the new compositions of Greg Spero. The music is a backlash against the oversimplification of current popular musics, while also a tribute to the ever present pulse and depth of groove found in those same genres. Polyrhythmic takes the elements of rhythmic exploration that are found in the fringe popular producers, and pushes forward to the next level of creativity, finding new landscapes in layered time signatures, all in the context of a constant pulsating groove. As extended compositions interspersed with brief palate-cleansing interludes, Polyrhythmic takes you on a journey through vast musical landscapes full of lush color, rocky roads, and unexpected twists and turns.
