简介
Skip's interest in blues and R&B really began when he moved to Eugene, Oregon. He connected with great blues players in the area like James Thornbury, Henry Vestine, James Bradshaw and others. As an accomplished musician who wrote and recorded music, he began as a bass player and drummer for blues bands. He started playing piano after connecting with the"Nawlins" rudiments of Professor Longhair. His influences include James Booker, Piano Red, Champion Jack Dupree, "Fats" Domino and Dr. John. He sometimes takes a detour up north to Chicago with the likes of Albert Aamons & Otis Spann. The album was produced and engineered by Peter Giri. Billy Barnett enhanced the mix on "Wrong Yo Yo". Tony Figoli played drums. Byron Case on bass. Horn work was performed by Paul Biondi. Henry Cooper played guitar on "Baby Wants Me Home" and "Eugene City". Ken Babbs added trombone to "Hey Lil Girl". Peter Giri added guitar on "Baby Wants Me Home", "Eugene City", "That Chick's Too Young to Fry", and "Short Fat Fannie".
