The making of the album "II" started back in 2008. but was stopped after less than a year, when the band went on a 2 year-long hiatus. Newly formed collaboration with Neven Marinac as a producer and arranger ended the band's hiatus and resulted with the second LP called 'Blefer' (2012). After the release of 'Blefer', the idea of finishing the project from 2008. came to mind. The old songs were re-arranged and some new songs were freshly added, forming a big-sounding record that became "II". Since the majority of the material from this record was originally intended to be on the Skaut's second album, it seemed appropriate to choose "II" for the album title, even though it's formally Skaut's third official release. The album was recorded in Kramasonik studio, Studio C, and RKF studio in Zagreb, Croatia. Majority of the songs were mixed in Morris studio, Zagreb, with an exception of few songs which were mixed in Studio C. The album incorporates relatively dark themes, often from an ironic or sarcastic point of view, which gives it a specific note of humor.
