THE MUSIC The Collective’s music is heavy, intricate, melodic, and ever so focused on groove. THE LATEST ALBUM The soon to be released album, FILMSCORE was conceived as the musical accompaniment to a tongue-in-cheek, yet grandiose commentary on the obscure side of existence. One feature in the story is The Collective’s own rendition of Peter Gabriel’s “Games Without Frontiers.” DINO HAAK German artist Dino Haak is best known for his work on the Mobius Megatar, a twelve-string touch-style instrument of the samefamily as the Chapman Stick, played by the likes of Trey Gunn and Tony Levin. Haak is known for his groove-heavy, idiosyncraticsongwriting. The sound of the Megatar adds a powerful and eerily symphonic element to the overall feel. Dino Haak’s legalmove to the US from Germany was supported by American musicians such as Trey Gunn (King Crimson), Don Schiff (Pat Benatar,Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow), Greg Howard (Dave Matthews Band), Emmett Chapman (Inventor of the Chapman Stick) and others,who helped him to be awarded an Exceptional Artist Visa in 1999 and to finally choose the Northwest as his full-time place ofresidence since 2000.
