The beat of Cumbia " Rebelde Barrio "uses a blend of Latin hip-hop and traditional cumbia with a collaboration of Serko Fuentes of Sonidero Nacional, MC Monte Alban from Rap Squad(doing the beat ), C-Dub from the Illness(bass) and San Francisco DJ Freddie Future. plus the sound of guiro by "juan c" from cumbia tokezon , Along with the beautiful chorus by "brown G " Gaby Black-Sista, the lyrics of the song are meant to be a tribute to the neighborhoods where Wilson and Spia grew up and represents all neighborhoods across the globe. Reporte Ilegal was founded in 1998 in Mexico City and was comprised of three members; Wilson, Spia104 and Z Darek. The three created a unique sound by blending electro, hip-hop and punk along with politically conscious lyrics. Spia 104 and Wilson continue to work together on projects and own have started their own record label Reporte Ilegal Records.
