Cyanotic heralds the return of aggressive electronic / industrial, melding elements of classic industrial dance, electro, drum 'n' bass, rhytmic noise, IDM and industrial metal to create a unique sonic assault. Drawing from a vast array of influences such as Numb, Ministry, Cubanate, Haujobb and early Wax Trax Records, the band enjoys a rapidly growing fan base, thanks to strong support via word of mouth and relentless touring with the likes of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Dismantled, Bile, Nocturne, Acumen Nation, DJ? Acucrack, Andrew W.K., Cruciform Injection, De-fragmentation, Rec|use and many more. The project had its beginnings in early 2002 as a collaboration between Sean Payne, Drew Rosander and Brian Blake, unhappy with what the trio percieved to be a growing stagnation within electronic and industrial music. Setting out to expand beyond the constraints of a single genre by drawing influence from a number of harsh electronic music styles, the band's first release was a collection of demos and remixes entitled "Mutual Bonding Through Violation", which was released in the summer of 2003 via Cyanotic's own label, Glitch Mode Recordings. The limited edition E.P. of 1200 copies, now out of print, was met with immediate praise and extremely positive reviews from many publications, including Side-Line, Industrial Nation, Regen and Chain DLK. The summer of 2005 saw the release of Cyanotic's debut full length album. "Transhuman", a 12 track electronic diatribe combining aggro punk attitude, machine driven beats, infectious synth rhythms, brutal guitars and layers of sonic experimentation, expertly mixed by Jason Novak of Acumen Nation / DJ? Acucrack and Chris Cozort of Iammynewt. The album's strong sales are an indication of the band's wide appeal, attracting interest from all corners of the underground music scene and beyond, garnering interest and airplay through various television programs on major outlets such as MTV, VH1, HBO and more. Cyanotic has since embarked upon a successful U.S. tour with Dismantled of Metropolis Records, as well as garnering attention and support via underground club and radio play, interviews, reviews, and advertisements in both electronic and print publications. Amongst all the shows, promotion and recording, the group have completed production work and remixes for bands including Chemlab, Acumen Nation, Spit Static, The Aggression and ManufraQture. A very strong and active fan community has since grown around the forums at the Cyanotic website, located at cyanotic-online.com. "... fresh material for true fans of aggressive industrial"
