Finnegans Wake is comprised of William J. Furry, Bill Rintz, and John C. Van Orman who began playing together in 1973, and continued performing, broadcasting, and recording as Finnegans Wake up to the present time. Their repertoire consists of traditional folk songs and melodies of the English speaking world accompanied by a large variety of acoustic instruments including guitar, concertina, fiddle, mandolin, hurdy-gurdy, mountain dulcimer, oud and more, While they have produced a number of self-released cassettes over the years, Quiver and Rattle is their first studio recording released on CD and online formats. It contains 17 tracks featuring traditional songs of American, the British Isles, Australia, plus one Van Orman original. Finnegans Wake has a very contemporary and original sound while remaining true to the music traditions they love and honor.
